Material Support
-
Each of the following items represent a real cost to Aspern and we definitely welcome donations in kind (new or in good working order). However, in order to avoid a stock of the same items, we ask you to always contact us in advance of your scheduled collection date and discuss the details with us. This way, we can give you the most recent information regarding the needs that we will have at the time of your event. Given the complexity of Ukrainian laws on the import of humanitarian aid from foreign countries, we can only accept this kind of help if it concerns a special transport dedicated specifically to Aspern. As this kind of transport requires extensive paperwork, we ask you to contact us well in advance of your scheduled collection or action.
The items we need most are:
- IT equipment for the IT training programs that we are trying to set up. All sorts of equipment is needed: e.g. laptops, desktops, (Russian) keyboards, screens, servers, scanners, printers, projectors, etc.
- Classroom materials: anything ranging from pens, pencils, exercise books, rulers, erasers, scissors, colored pencils, etc. to blackboards, filing cabinets, desks and chairs.
- Educational support materials: photocopy machine for classroom use, overhead projectors, games, sports equipment, materials for creative art work (paint, brushes, clay, colored paper, decorative elements, etc.), books (in English, Russian, and Ukrainian; mostly literature), encyclopaedias, dictionaries (preferably a class set of 20 identical dictionaries; both English – Russian – English as well as German – Russian – German).
- Furniture and clothing for the “Babushka Project” (cupboards, desks, chairs, couches, cutlery, kitchen utensils, etc.).
